Duke of Edinburgh

At Saltash Community School we currently run Bronze and Silver DofE Awards and hope to have a Gold group next year.

In a poll of more than 500 senior managers commissioned by The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, 93% reveal they are more likely to employ a candidate who can demonstrate achievements beyond their curriculum studies, such as a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, with 86% looking more favourably on a candidate who shares evidence of volunteering and other extracurricular activities.

In addition to this, completion of the award at any level is a fantastic way to demonstrate the TEAM values of Saltash Community School.

If you are interested in applying to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh at Saltash email Mr Feldwick for details.

Team Saltash Ski Trip

For over 20 years, the school’s annual ski trip has been a highlight of the calendar and our longest-running adventure. In that time, more than 1,200 students have experienced some of Europe’s best ski destinations, making lifelong memories along the way.

This year promises to be just as exciting, with an incredible package that includes:

  • 30 hours of expert tuition over 6 days

  • All lift passes, ski equipment, and meals included

  • Comprehensive insurance and evening entertainment

And with almost 18 months to spread the cost, it’s an adventure that offers outstanding value for money.

It’s no surprise that places sell out fast, often within two weeks. Many students even return for a second trip, showing just how special this experience is.

If you’d like your child to join this unforgettable journey, please contact Mr. Feldwick at mfeldwick@saltashcloud.net as soon as possible. Don’t miss the chance of a lifetime!
